If you can afford that, it's kinda reasonable. Love Jettas! Miles are truly low... So why are they selling? What's wrong with it? Someone die in it? Nah! Sorry! But make sure you check it really well, test drive it twice, once in the a.m. and once while it's dark...ask a lot of questions - latest repairs, what kind of gas and oil (synthetic is the only good choice) previously used in past. How old are the tires, any accidents...offer significantly less in full cash, ten grand is a big investment! Other brands to consider: Hondas are cheap (Preludes late 90s!!!!++++) and plentiful, easy to learn to fix and modify but easy to get stolen from you. Toyotas seem never to die, the older Celicas have a great shape and are fun to drive, supe up, you can even drop a small v-8 in if your mechanically inclined (and can afford the gas!). Older VWs are cool too, esp the Karman Ghias (little porshes!). Check the repos as well, you can get great deals there and at the police auctions you can find great steals on nice cars! Happy hunting! Just remember to save some cash to invest in securing your vehicle (kill switches help and get rid of keyholes with remote auto start/open/alarm kits! Tint the windows so your goodies are unseen!) P.S. Fords tend to be hard to break in to....the newer ones...Good Luck!

The GL is the least equipped of the two, A/C replace into elective, no cruise administration and had crank domicile windows. The GLS got here nicely-known with the A/C, ability domicile windows, cruise and TCS, to no longer point out strategies like heated seats, sunroof and 2 engines that have been no longer provided in the GL. As for the engines, the a million.8T's specs are for those years; 150hp 155lb.ft, for later a million.8Ts (2002 and up) the specs may be 180hp 170lb.ft. The specs for the two.0L are 115hp and 120lb.ft of torque, they remained the comparable from 2000 to 2005. The intake is comparable for the two, yet while this is something this is less demanding on gas you're after there is often the TDI engine (diesel). The TDI replace into provided in the two trim stages.

i checked out the avg. price on autotrader for your car. its not a bad price assuming the car is in good shape. if u are buying a used car, the first place u should check out is consumers report car issue. it will tell u which cars are best picks based on their polling their subscribers. vw's are about average for repairs. be sure to drive one. i drove a jetta and i was not impressed. it was very noisy on the highway. its handling was ok. good luck.
