I recommend Veggie Wash, available in most independent health food stores and online too. It's organic and contains natural cleaning products.

Good question! I've always wondered this too. With apples and stuff with hard skins, i scrub them - best as i can without ruining them - with a scrubber. Other than that, the only thing i can do is wash them thoroughly under the tap. I don't know how much of the chemicals are washed off though. Other than that, the only way to ensure we aren't eating these chemicals is to buy organic - or grow our own! I look forward to reading other people's answers to this.

It's not really neccessary to scrub fruit and certain vegetables, just rinse it really well under water. If you scrub fruit and veg too much you scrub away some of the skin, and most of the vitamins are just under the skin. The only thing that's important is to scrub potatoes really well in warm water as the soil contains harmful bacteria. etc.

Nothing.

The pesticide used on fruits and vegetables is industrial strength bleach, which gets washed off at the packing houses.

The wax used for the prevention of dehydration is an edible, FDA approved wax and it does not wash off.
