Quorn, a veggie product which has the vegeterian society logo on it, is marketed as healthy, low cholesterol and good for you. When actually it contains hydrogenated oils; trans fats which actually raise your cholesterol and are worse for you than saturated fats. How can they get away with this?

The food industry is getting away with a lot these days.
Take for instance all those so-called nutritional foods for kids that have hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils, monosodium glutamate (MSG), disodium guanylate, and various other ingredients that are in almost everything from soups to nuggets to whole wheat crackers that are supposed to be healthy and nutritious! We'd be better off getting organic foods or growing and making our own food products. One book I glanced at said something about the very chemical(s) outlawed in the States is used on produce in other countries where it is not outlawed and then the produce is shipped back in and sold as being healthy and good for you when it is pesticide laden. This book claimed that not even the insides of the fruits are good for you because the chemical(s) (I'm thinking the author said DDT) soak through.
The food industry tries to find all the loopholes it can to make quick bucks that add up into millions and billions of dollars for them with each sucker that buys. FDA is supposed to regulate food and drugs, but there's so many loopholes that the food industry finds to use and abuse.

They get away with it because there is no legal meaning to the term healthy. It's complete rubbish. Rubbish food that is. People would be safer just eating meat!

Go bland. Plain, uncomplicated, unseasoned food such as grilled chicken, plain rice and a nude baked potato are nutritious but your palette will tire of them quickly, unlike salty moreish highly processed food, which keeps you snacking and piling about the pounds.

Chewing your food thoroughly is not going to make digestion easier, but will allow your body time to recognise only when it's actually full, thus preventing eating too much.
