Prophet Muhammad himself from age 24 to 50 was married to only one woman, Khadija can this man think of what the non muslims think about him now no one of the arab disbelievers blamed the final prophet for this marrige u know why because it was not strange at this time to marry the women 20 or 30 years younger than the man secondely all over the world the people were growing up more than our time now so the women in 9 or 14 (most writers said she was about 14 )at that time like 25 years old now finaly he married that young girl because she was very fast in learning so she can teach the world about his life after his death and that what happend she told us about his great life in detalis Aeisha, became renowned as a scholar and one of the greatest sources of Hadith literature.
All his wives – except Al Sayeda Aisha – were either widows or divorced , and most of them were elderly women, he could have chosen beautiful girls if he wanted. Any man would profer a birgin to a widow or a divorcee. His marriage to widows and divorcees and to elderly in particular shows that the prophet was not after sexual pleasure as said by his adversaries.

I don't have to "justify" anything the Prophet Muhammad did. It was very normal practice till a few generations ago that when the age of puberty was met girls married. My husbands grandmother married at 12. There was specific reasons for the marriage one being that the prophet taught her everything about Islam for her to pass on once he died. She was the most knowledgeable women in all of Islam.
P.S. Just because they married does not mean it was consummated at that age.
"zealot"? last time i checked a zealot was a member of a Jewish movement of the first century A.D.

Morality is relative not absolute, it varies from culture to culture and society to society. What is perceived to be moral in USA may not hold to be true in other parts of the world, such as Africa and Asia. Morality is also relative to time, fornication/dating little time ago was regarded as taboo and a matter of shame for the family. However, now this is a common habit, dating could start as early as at the age of 14. Another example would be dress code, which was very modest in history but not so now.
Thus it was a norm to be married at a young age. This is why the people of Quraish and other Arabian tribes at Prophet's time found absolutely no fault in their marriage. On the contrary it is evident from countless narrations that the marriage was successful. They detested Islam, they did everything to belittle the Prophet, tried to prevent Islam from spreading and even attempted to kill the Prophet! However, they raised no objection to the marriage of the Prophet to Aisha since at those times such a thing was not considered 'immoral'.
Indeed, there have been many cases of early puberty. For instance, Lina Medina gave birth at the age of 5 years, 7 months and 21 days. Encyclopaedia Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lina_Medina ) says:
"Lina Medina (born September 27, 1933 in Paurange, Peru) gave birth at the age of 5 years, 7 months and 21 days and is the youngest confirmed mother in medical history. This world record is closely followed by a similar case in Russia."
When Aisha had reached puberty the marriage was consummated, as Karen Armstrong writes in her book Muhammad: A Biography of the Prophet, Harper San Francisco, 1992, page 157:
"Tabari says that she was so young that she stayed in her parents' home and the marriage was consummated there later when she had REACHED puberty."
The marriage also strengthened the relationship between Abu Bakr and Prophet Muhammed. In addition, Aisha (RA) was exceedingly intelligent and had a formidable memory. She had profound knowledge of Quran and Sunnah She narrated over 2,000 hadith (at least 2,210).

If I'm correct, he married her at age six, consummated the marriage at nine. Perhaps that is why Evangelicals call Mohamed a pedophile. In addition, he had more wives than the he stated in the Koran.
Sounds more like David Koresh and Bill Clilnto who invented his agenda as conditions dictated.

Who has to justify anything? You clearly believe as you believe and we believe as we believe! To you be your way and to us ours!
