If u've had a short temper since u were young then its unlikely to be your menopause. And if you're dad is like it too then its probably something in the genes or the way u were brought up.
Its just the way u are, dont let it get u down or rule your life. When u feel yourself getting worked up, take a few minutes doing something u enjoy to calm yourself down before it gets big and out of hand.

the most common case of such an anger issue is not understanding your true feelings, or not being able to express them.
if someone whaps you in the face (accidentally) with their book bag on an overcrowded bus, I'm sure you're first reaction is to tell the motherf****r right off for being stupid. I would (back then anyways), but you gotta be more rational. you felt pain, you felt a little offended that it happened to you, and you might have even felt disrespected. but all this in a split second resulted in an explosion
I would understand you getting angry at the some people if their just ignorant. just turn a shoulder and don't let them get the best of you.
also, watch your reactions, when you see yourself getting dragged into a situation where you get pissed and want to explode, leave for a second and try to rationalize. maybe this person is having a really bad day, maybe you crossed paths at the wrong Time, maybe this person is a really good person, you just haven't seen their good side yet, because you're focusing too much on the negative side.
i hope some of this advice helps. good luck, and be happier!!! :)

Hi,
I am a detox specialist and practice healing in various aspect of people's health.
From what you described, pschologically, it is very possible that your relationship with your dad has affected your temper. In such, because you have a bad relationship with your dad and is very angry at him, you are very likely to get very angry with other people around you as well.
If you sit down and think about it, I would say, the people you angry at most often would often be authoratative figures like your boss... and also your other half (boyfriends).
If you do not heal this part of you, this anger will continue and wreak havoc in your health.
Also, if this continues, you will never be able to acheive big success or have a good career.
Usually, pple who have alot of anger in themselves accumulate alot of of stress on their body, especially in the area of their liver.
Do you get skin allergies easily? Or maybe rashes, dry skin, pimples or even eczema?
If you want to do something about this, I suggest you arrange with me for a consultation and do a detox.
And the detox is simple. All you need to do is three things.
Number one, follow the detox programme which requires you to change your diet a little bit. Eg, take more vege and less meat and seafoods.
Number two, use 1 minute a day to take some natural health foods that I take to enhance the speed and the effect of the detox.
Number three, drink lots of water to flush the toxins out..
And that's it.
The rest is up to you.
So what do you think? ;)
If you are keen to find out more about my detox programme, you can email me at verityy@yahoo.com.

Used to have the temper problem and were absolutely irritating and pissing people off constantly... Life slowly managed to bend this habit of mine because my wild ways magically walked out on me. One reason I can give you is because pushing yourself to the edge real hard and almost gaining enough speed to look back on your behaviour in order to realize how much you want to change and desert that person you'd hate to become. Self-awareness, patience and healthy habits come slowly one day at a time do not overwhelm yourself but do not ignore this either you are worthy and smart enough to overcome yourself :)) Good luck!

This does have an impact on you has you were brought up. We were molded as growing up. This could have followed you to adult years. It sucks to feel angry, pissed off all the time. I dont think it is a sickness, but maybe you should talk to a doc. to se if maybe there is a med. that can calm you down. Good luck to you.

NO. It's not a sickness or mental disorder.
Although.... I can gaurantee you that a psychiatrist would tell you that it is. And he would want to put you on meds. So avoid psychiatrists.
