Casually/jokingly say "Hey, since older sister don't want you, how about me. I am available" or "How about you and I getting hitched, since my sister doesn't seem interested"
He may have feelings for you like your older sister has for him--not interested??? So be prepared for a brush off. Just in case. But good luck.

First you have to make sure he knows that you like him , and as a friend you need to give him time to think of you in that light.As far as proposing to him that at this time will only scare him off. Work on becoming better friends and let him know that you would like to be more than that , and leave the ball in his corner. Believe it or not men like to think it was their idea. Relationship for 19 yrs and mother of 4 men.

the best way of proposing is direct way.if u feel so shy then to propose indirectly u show more innterest towards him.u show more care towards him.talk about love ,being bf&gf when u talk with him.but the best is to say directly.hope ur love will be a success.all the best..........

Maybe you should ask him out on a date first (it sounds like you are not dating now, since he is interested in your sister) I think it might freak most people out to propose to them before you even date them

you should not propose to someone you have not been in a relationship with. just ask him does he want to hang out sometime. be his friend and more may develope. he will get the picture soon enough that your sis is not interested.

Just tell him what your feelings are... and you should do it DIRECTLY and looking to his eyes...
U could say:
¨I just want U to know that I have feelings for U, I think I love U, and it seems to me that was fair to you to know this...if you like me back I´ll be very happy, but feel free to tell me if U don´t, so I won´t keep dreaming with something will never happen between of us... and I´ll try to put a closure to my feelings so we can steel be friends...

don't propose guys have to do that it don't look right for a girl to be kneeling down at a guy he has to get u the ring and he has to propose it goes that way

Is your older sister gay? If so does he know this? Speak to her and see what she thinks about this guy,she might be able to let him down gently regarding herself and put it a good word for you maybe? Get her to steer him in your direction.

don't hide your love ,if he is your best friend he knows you well so go on ask him what he think of you and ask him for a date .maybe he likes you too but he is waiing for you to tell him your feelings...good luck
