so you applied for a spouse visa so i take it either you or your mate is illegal, i assume that because i'm going through that drama right now with my husband. since offices are getting changed and Homeland Security keeps "losing paperwork" they are taking a long time to get things done. they say a visa can be accepted or rejected in 90 days but usually it takes 3 or more months sometimes years to find out a answer. we have been waiting for about 6 months and just got some news on it. he already had his work permit- work authorization- which gave him temporary status while we were waiting for the visa to be okayed. hopefully you don't go through the same drama we did and remember keep your original reciept and never let them have it just give them copies. don't forget you're gonna have to pay to keep the visa and stay in the country.

It took me about four months but I have heard that they have improved the process since I immigrated. It seems that Infopass really does work.
