I know it's something like, if they have a hoof and eat the cud (grass), you may eat the animal, like a cow.

But what about a horse?
are we not allowed to eat chicken and turkey?
I know we're not supposed to eat pig.
What else?

Shellfish.

And Christians, no you are wrong. The old testament laws are still in effect according to the Bible. In Mathew 5:17, Christ states that he has not come to destroy the old laws, he has come to fulfill them.

You have not read it then, for God gave man dominion over all plant life and animals.

There are some plants that are not edible so it is true of the animals, it isn't a sin it is not good for you.

Anything with a split hoove is what you are looking for. this is the reason some people do not eat pig. The fact that they incorporated it in their religion is a choice they made.

Also shell fish is not good for you, there is a description , I think anything in the waters without scales is not good for us.

Please don't get all guilty about what you eat that is not the message or lesson you must learn.

Jesus stated that it is not what goes into the mouth of a man that defiles him but what comes out of it. Meaning that the words one speaks can defile the man if he speaks ill against his brother or brings false witness to something causing the other person to be punished due to his lie or false witness, its not about the food. Peace be with you.

You may eat any with split hoof completely divided and that chews cud. Leviticus 11: 4-8
The whole book of Leviticus can tell you what is clean and unclean. It is the Old Test. So it depends on what your church or religion believes.

no scavengers.
There are also animals put on the earth to clean it; for example, sea bugs (shrimp is a good example of this) they clean up the sea floor.
Pigs do not have sweat glands, so every single bacteria they pick up in their lifetime stays inside their flesh. Do you really want to ingest that?
These health laws are not put there to be mean. They are there because there are certain animals that were meant for specific purposes, one of which is not for food.
Eating them is not a sin to death, just a sin to the health of your body.
God created the body, and He should know what is good or not good for it.
And, bodies haven't changed since those health laws were written, so for those who believe they no longer are in affect, you are deluded; do you think the jewish body is different from other bodies? That is pure nonsense. Your body will still become quite ill from eating the wrong things, no matter what religion or nationality you are.

The dietary laws for Israel recorded in Leviticus, chapter 11, which include, for example, a prohibition against eating pork, were given for specific religious and, perhaps, health reasons. The New Testament, however, makes it clear that observation of these Old Testament food laws for religious reasons is no longer required in the New Testament era. Jesus Himself declared that all foods were "clean" (Mark 7:17-23). In Acts 10:9-16, Peter was informed by God through a vision that he was not to reject the use of certain animals for food on a religious basis. The apostle Paul also writes, "For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer" (1 Timothy 4:4).

The Bible makes it clear that "the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit" (Romans 14:17). There is no saving grace in either eating or not eating certain foods. We are saved by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; see Ephesians 2:8-10. This, of course, does not mean that all animals we use for food are of equal value from a health standpoint.

Many people feel they can win God's favor and have eternal life by following the dietary laws of the Old Testament. But this is a misunderstanding. You cannot save yourself—but Christ can, and He will as you commit your life to Him by faith.

There were quite a few shellfish, pork among others.. You can find them in the Levitical laws in the bible. Duteronomy 14:3-20.
However, Peter got a new revelation from God and we are no longer bound to those dietary laws.
13And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.

14But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.

15And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
Acts 10: 13-15

It is believed that those laws came from God in order to protect his people from diseases .

"That's too hard now" apparently.

Personally, I don't eat meat, the reasons for which don't concern us here. I will just say none of my beliefs have anything to do with discrimination on the basis of the animals' feet or diet.

If you're not Jewish, you don't have to worry about it. Gentiles weren't/aren't required to follow the Jewish laws.

Jewish people aren't allowed to eat pork or shellfish. They can eat burgers as long as they don't mix them with dairy products (like cheese).
