Yes, I have read very encouraging answers here which have moved me. On the other hand, some of the answers and questions have contributed to me realising just how much people's eyes need to be opened to the Gospel, and so it has impacted me to commit to this forum as a mission field.

I am comfortable with my religion, but I am interested in the faiths of all people.
I am often moved by eloquently written explanations and discussions. Many answers have driven me to do more research and change my preconceptions. Specifically, I have learned quite a bit about different translations and interpretations of religious writings and how they have changed over time.
I have often been amused (and all to often saddened) by self ignorance and uninformed dogma. Some of it can be chocked up to the ignorant masses, but some of it is clearly pure prejudice. Still others are so ugly or stupid that I hope they are being written by haters PRETENDING to have the opposite opinion to make someone else look bad. Those are probably the worst.
Some things I have learned about:
The proper translation of the Lord's Prayer.
That Barabbas was probably a beloved leader of the Jews in the style of David.
The Cosmic Teapot.
The Wild Child of France.
And many other interesting tid-bits.

I am constanty being touched by God as He shows me through my questions and answers, how much He has changed me and how much closer I am to Him than I ever realized.
And for the one who said that everything isn't about
God, you are so wrong. He created you, kniowing you wiouldn't accept Him. But He loves you anyway. He just may grab a hold of you- or maybe already has and you are running out of time. I don't want to be you if Jesus came right now.

No, but occasionally I come across an answer that makes me stop and think and see something from a different angle...which is one of the reasons I keep coming back here. No one will ever change my faith, but I do like being informed about other religions.

Closer to god? Give me a break. But had an effect on me, yes. Not everything is about "god".

hey, I have had some really interesting thought that I would not otherwise had. But changed my life or closer to any one god, no.

I read something someone wrote that impacted how I view the world. Luckily she accepted emails so I sent her a note to let her know how I felt.

I have almost gave up at times and wanted to walk away from this section and the words from people here have helped me remain focused and stronger in myself
