This guy that I used to really like, told me last week that he likes me, and he asked if I wanted to be his gf. I told him my parents don't let me have a bf, so basically no. I really like him now, so did I do the right thing?
By the way, i'm 13.

Honey !I think you did the Right thing. If the boy is still interested in you He'll be what ever you want him to be including, a close friend who you can go to places with and hang with in a group. He could still be your Boyfriend but without the pressure on either of you. A label doesn't make a couple, feelings do. Talk to the Boy. If he would like to go out in a group as your friend, then ask your Parents if it's ok, if you go out in a group situation ie cinema. Let your Mum know you like a boy, ask if it's ok if he comes over, with or without your other friends, so they can get comfortable about him being your friend.See how things go. There is no rush respect yourself and your dreams for your future and He'll respect you too.

I think you did the right thing! You show a lot of maturity and respect for your parents by following their rules. You may not like the rule of not being able to have a boyfriend but that doesn't mean you can't have guy friends. This guy you like can be your friend. You will learn more about this guy by being his friend than being his girlfriend. I think you should talk to your parents, ask them at what age you can have a boyfriend. Communication is key to having a great relationship with your parents.

At 13, it was the right and sensible thing to do. You're not ready yet for something like this. Stay friends first if you really like him. If both of you still feel that way when you're older - like 18 (yup, I'm sure your parents would feel that way), well, who knows what will happen then. Your feelings may have changed or you both may get together again.

Yes of course. You don't need a bf at your age. Don't feel pressure to be and act like everyone else. If you told him this then obviously it was your first instinct to do so.
YOUR GUT IS ALWAYS RIGHT!
Besides, there are ways to spend time together without having to date. Go out in groups and stay friends.
If he refuses to do so then he doesn't deserve you anyway!

Yes you did! Guys at that age only want one thing! Your parents aren't trying to mean to you, they have been there and done that...they have experience. You sound like you have your head on straight...keep it that way b/c your education is more important right now.

If you aren't allowed to date, then absolutely without a doubt, you did the right thing. It's okay, there will be more and better guys in your life. All will work out for you. Good luck and hope all goes well.

Yeah, absolutely!
Is the guy still interested in you? Coz if he is, he's willing to wait, and that's a plus, right? That proves he's genuine/serious.

If he's out asking some other girl to be his gf, then he's not worth your time after all.
