Political realists see that Muslim “moderates” are more patient than Muslim extremists. The “moderates” merely prefer a phased strategy for Israel’s demise. This makes Mahmoud Abbas a “moderate” and Ismail Haniyeh an “extremist.”
The litmus test of a Muslim moderate is this: Does he or she publicly avow the legitimacy of the Jewish State of Israel? And does he or she publicly reject the Arab “right of return”—which is but a code word for Israel’s destruction? You will not find a politically or strategically significant number of such Muslims.
All the talk about Muslim “moderates” is little more than escapism and obscurantism. Terrorism is coextensive with Islam: in Iraq and Iran, in Syria and Lebanon, in Algeria and the Sudan, in Chechenya and Indonesia.
Meanwhile, in mosques across the United States, imams preach hatred of Christian and Jews; some even call for Jihad.

Well, sir, I'd have to ask some of my Muslim friends. (Also my Buddhist, Atheist, Christian friends...)
I don't understand "abdt." I don't see that you even implied, anywhere, that you regarded "...all Muslims are terrorists." Your second paragraph makes this perfectly clear. People are getting so bloody defensive around here, they can't see the forest for the trees. If someone called me a "moderate Atheist," I'd probably go--DUH??? You question is logical, & valid. Hmm. There seems a virus is going around. It's a fairly aggressive strain; I think the name is "NASTY." I "think" terrorist Muslims are called "radicals." Yes? & they aren't really Muslims at all; they go against all Muslim beliefs.

Of course U will never know the meaning of " Moderate " since U regards all Muslims are terrorists. Unless U opened up your mind and look at thing from different perspective. Check your fingers. Are all your fingers have the same length? If I said all the fingers have the same length. Will U belief it ? Of course U will never belief it. As such, how could U say that all the Muslims are terrorists ? Do U think anybody will belief U ? Think of it.

Not a Muslim but here is the definition of moderate.
kept or keeping within reasonable or proper limits; not extreme, excessive, or intense
Seems I would take it more as a compliment than a dig seeing that people are becoming very bias towards Muslims.

In the Quran God says he made religion easy for man...not wanting it to be a burden or reason for discontent. He tells us not to be extreme in either direction....either making ourselves and other miserable by following an extreme course not ordered by God.....or by being lazy and ignoring most of the requirements of our religion. He teaches us that we should follow the middle course....not extreme either way. So if someone were to call me a moderate Muslim I would take this to mean that I'm not being extreme in either direction but following my religion as ordered by God. In other words, I would take it as a compliment. JMO

yeah it's a pretty ridiculous term.
i hate it when ppl ask me if i'm a moderate muslim just cuz i don't cover my face or if my family's moderate cuz they let me go out alone.
it's like 'hello????anything working in that head of yours?'
it's the west's way of saying: here are the muslims that'll change their religion to what we tell them.
personally i don't think i'd trust 'moderate muslims' if i was the west. if someone is so willing to change cuz you told them to makes you wonder what they'd change for a higher price!!!!!
