Exercise is one of the healthiest ways. Doing something where you are getting your heart rate up and focusing or concentrating on something (like martial arts, gymnastics, certain forms of dancing, etc.). Plus after a workout, you can feel better. Also drinking water to rehydrate yourself and flush out some toxins (just don't overdo it). Good nutrition can help too. Taking a daily multivitamin as directed with the B vitamins in it would be good too. Playing concentration and memory games (if you take American freestyle martial arts and have to learn the steps or techniques and katas that's having to memorize, concentrate, and coordinate.) Change the routines from physical to mental as well-- Memory, chess, checkers, speed read a page and see how much you remember, puzzles, crosswords, circle words (better yet make your own and you are allowed to use only certain words-do you know how hard it is to make them on a sheet of paper- lol), trying to learn a new language, new vocabulary and spelling or medical words, learning about medicines and diseases and so on. Try doing these things to a workout or while practicing your balance. As you balance gets better, close your eyes and do it. Pretend you are blind and find your way around and sense new senses. The more you exercise and challenge your mind the better it is. Practice focusing on one thing at a time. Say this is me time and I am going to improve my concentration by focusing on this exercise routine.
There is also a website I glanced at that may be good for you to read; it talks about self talk and the like and if you worry you are losing your concentration.
If these methods do not help after about a month or two, you may need to ask a doctor. It could be some kind of deficiency of a mineral or something else that needs to be checked out (maybe an illness of some sort that affects concentration).
Other ways are Ginko Biloba, but I never really found it to work well for me. You could go to a natural store. For some reason Kava Kava popped up, but you need to be careful with any drugs/herbs. Be sure to discuss any herb or drug with your doctor and/or pharmacist for drug interactions.
If you are asking in the mental health section because of concentration loss due to depression, medication can help clear some of the fog. I would also not be surprised if some medications can cause decreased concentration as well, so check with your pharmacist if you are about to take or are taking any medications. I've also heard of Saint John's Wort being good for depression, but I've never tried it myself.
If you are going to take any drugs or herbs, be sure to check on side effects and who should not be taking them.

I'm not sure if you know believe in any religion, but here are some concentration tips:
- chill out. only focus on the task you're supposed to do
- don't wander/daydream.
- make yourself feel comfortable. if the temperature's not right, change it! if you feel all greasy and dirty, take a shower! make yourself feel comfortable!
- work in a well-lighted area
- sit in a chair where you won't fall asleep (don't sit on the sofa/bed...you'll loose concentration and fall asleep!)
- if possible, listen to some soothing classical music. don't listen to your favorite band. you'll loose concentration and start listening to the music instead of concentrating on your work.
- turn your cell phone, messenger, computer (if possible) off.
- sit in a quiet room
- don't be hungry. (feel comfortable)
- take a rest every 50-minuites.
- piortize your tasks
- mediate or pray before you start to concentrate on your work.

Your age is equivalent to the number of minutes you can concentrate for. Eg, 20 year olds can concentrate for only 20 minutes. So sorry, u cant really improve your concentration, it is what it is.

take a few mins before you do a task you need to concentrate on
turn off all sounds
get away from people
then meditate too yourself
block everything out except the completion of your task
go through the process in your mind step by step
then repeat to yourself what you are going to do
then do it!!!
