Is it ok going on a cruise without partner?

I'm 42 and have been on two cruises, one with a singles group and another entirely by myself. Singles group was ok but when I knew there was no one there for me I wasn't interested in their special activities anymore. Going by myself the next cruise, I met a cute guy in the disco and had a great time ;). I'm going solo again in May and expect to have a great time. Be social and make an effort to join in and initiate conversations. Don't know your age or interests but if you want to meet young singles, you should do Carnival and the shorter trips (3-7 days). Older people tend to do longer trips with more luxurious accomodations.
P.S. keep watching the prices on Carnival. My 1A guarantee on a 4-day cruise cost me $294 vs. $229 if I had a roommate so the supplement isn't that bad if you keep an eye out. If you do a "guarantee" cabin, you might get a free upgrade to a nicer cabin because you let Carnival sell all the easy-to-sell cheap cabins before they figure out where to put you. Only do this if you don't care where your cabin is.

The first thing you should know is that all cruise lines sell all of their cabins as DOUBLE OCCUPANCY. That means you take someoen with you or pay double for two (slightly less than double price). There are some web sites that advertize "Singles" cruises : http://www.singlescruise.com/ But what they do is pare you with other people who are going alone or single. I personally would prefer to take a friend or relative (even pay all or a portion of their fare) rather than sleep in a room with a total stranger.
Whatever you decide (pay double or find a roomy) you will have a good time because all cruise lines have activities specificallyt for singles. All cruise ships have a disco starting late at night and various bars, casino, pools and hot tub where you can and will meet people. You will also meet people at your dinner table.

Yes, it is okay to go alone. However, you are going to be paying more money for your cabin. Cabin prices are shown for double occupancy. Single occupancy is more than half of the double price and just may be the same as the double price.
Sit at a table for 8 or 10 people. You will probably be included if there are some other people who are single. It is also possible you may feel like a complete outsider and just take all of your meals in the buffet restaurant by yourself.
At the social events such as lounges, you can usually strike up a conversation with people.
It is more fun to go with others, but on the cruises I have been on, there have always been some singles and they got along fine.

Sure it's ok to cruise alone. But your problem is that most cruise lines don't have single cabins, so you will have to pay a single supplement (basically pay for 2 people to stay in one cabin even though you are the only one occupying it), or find someone who wants to share the cabin with you. Please PLEASE take this suggestion: in person-friendly words take someone who you be conscious of you gained't ideas seeing ninety 9% of the time. I went on a 4 evening cruise and replaced into with someone who really ticks me off or perhaps as I had a strong time, i got here across parts of it terrible. i'd upward push up tremendous early to verify the first light in simple terms so i'd be faraway from her. do no longer make a similar mistake plz! BTW, there are unmarried cruises. Google for them and strong success! Cruising is a great time!

It's totally OK, I'm going this summer, I booked thru vacationstogo.com, they have hosted single cruises, very reasonable prices, or they also have single suplements if you prefer. I have traveled alone and I always enjoyed it.

You can either get a cabin by yourself or have the cruiseline match you up with a roommate or 2. You'll have the time of your life.
