Here are just 3 examples why they are good for you:
Grapes are diuretic: They’re a diuretic, rich in potassium and low in salt, so they help the body rid itself of toxins through urine. They also have a laxative effect because of the fibre in the skin and seeds (0,3 g per 100 g).
Grapes give you energy: The grape has a high sugar content (17 g per 100 g). It contains Vitamin B which absorbs these sugars and helps keep the muscular and nervous systems working well. Grapes are ideal for children and sporty types.
Grapes are good for your heart : Mainly because of the polyphenols they contain, black grapes are rich in cardio-protectors which stop blood clots from forming.

Grapes are loaded with disease-fighting phytonutrients and glucose, which makes them easy to digest. A handful (100 mg) of grapes has 60 - 70 calories. They are also rich in soluble fibre, insoluble fibre and cholesterol-lowering pectin, which make them an acceptable fruit for diabetics. Grapes are a good source of potassium, which is helps to regulate blood pressure.
Grapes, however, have very few vitamins and minerals. Compared to 212 mg of Vitamin C found in 100 gm of guavas, grapes have only 3 mg of the vitamin. Grapes are a fair source of calcium, phosphorous and iron and contain small amounts of B-vitamins, mainly in the form of folic acid.
What makes grapes nutritionally significant is their high antioxidant content in the form of phytochemicals. These phytochemicals- ellagic acid and quercetin - are present in the skin of red and black grapes and protect people against cancer and heart disease.
As grapes are sprayed with pesticides, wash them thoroughly with water, soak in a solution of potassium permanganate for 10 minutes before rinsing again and eating.

Yes, grapes are good for you, they help to get rid of toxins and aid recovery after illness, which is why they are traditionally taken to patients in hospital - unless there is a medical reason not to have them as they can cause wind or may upset the digestive system (I'm trying to be polite).

This is a great question because I have had the same question myself. Average seems to have a great answer, something I'm glad to read! I used to think grapes were more or less just a sweet treat, nothing good to them. Average has set me straight!
Thanks for asking this question!

Grapes ar excellent for your health unless you suffer from specific allergies or if you are a diabetic then it is much better to check with your doctor. Other than that they are seriously good when you have a sore throat or hay fever for relieving the itchy scratchy throat !

i am going to say no , because their sugar content is too high in my opinion. There ARE bettter fruits out there. a grape per gram has more sugar than a lot of other fruits, eat some berries or some cantelope instead.

all fruit is generally good for you, and in the case of grapes, the darker the better, as they contain more antioxidants- so red grapes are better for you than green ones.
personally i havent tried black ones, but i can only guess they would be better than red ones.
however, dont overdose, or you'll end up with diorrhea!
