Is it really okay to soak my hand in salt water to help heal many wounds on it? After trying to burns very badly afterwards though. Is it okay to do?

your question is a litte confusing but if your asking about normal wounds with salt water it is best. the salt water mixture ( if you measure the mixture right it won't sting)helps keep the wound moist and keep infection out while keeping the good bacteria alive. it's actually not good to put antibiotic cream on a wound unless it's already infected to begin with since antibiotic actually kills all bacteria and slows the healing process a bit. if you can go to a tattoo or piercing shop and buy some antimicrombial soap. it's the same stuff the hospitals use and it allows healing along with killing bad bacteria and keeping the good you need. don't forget to have a light bandage!

if it's a burn then get some burn cream and keep antibiotic cream away. oh and don't dare to pull the puss filled bag off that makes it worse. you need that fluid to help heal a burn and keep it from getting infected. that's about all i know on burns, sorry.

NEVER EVER USE PEROXIDE!!!!! it kills your tissues and cells as well as helps create infections and slows healing by alot.
trust me i know what i'm talking about on this, it's required by the state that i get training in wound care(a piercing is a wound) along with many other things.

OOOOOOOOOOUCH!!! -- why would you try this?? to prevent infection??? not sure of what type of wound you are talking about so.. hard to tell ya what to treat it with... if its a new wound... and not vascular.. use H202 (Hydrogen peroxide) --or just plain steril saline water to clean the wound... do this early cause later will actually stop or remove new cell growth... again not sure of the type of wound.. why not use.. antimicrobial such as neosporin...etc... keep it clean and dry... after intially cleaning and if not oozing or bleeding... dont cover it.. let it scab over and heal... again hard to treat without knowing what you are talking about...... good luck... again.. OUCH!!

Putting salt water on a wound is retarted - it hurts like hell, and maybe it works a little bit but, you could get better results with peroxide and it wont hurt as much.
