I would never have asked this question myself as I have known this girl for along time and I know that she lives a normal and full life. I put this question to the vote known that others would feel the same as myself. And that my friend should not have bothered that his cousin, who keeps goading him is the narrowed minded induvidual the he is and always will be. Please all dont think that what I wrote, was in anyway meant to be nasty towards the girl.

Do you know what? I am really offended by your question! The learning difficulty cant be too obvious or he would have noticed straight away. Therefore are you being prejudiced against people with dyslexia and other mild learning difficulties?
Bill Gates and Einstein were alleged to be mildly Autistic/ Asperger Syndrome! My daughter is 13 and has mild Asperger Syndrome and is completely normal in most ways. She has some eccentricities which just make her a little different, but she is a loving person capable of making me happy and also her friends! I am horrified that someone could fall in love with her and then when she admits that she has this condition, her boyfriends friends take it upon themselves to judge her and him and post on the internet asking if she is good enough to be loved!!!
What the hell has it got to do with you anyway! Get your own life and leave your friend to make his own decisions. He's obviously a better less shallow person.

Why should he leave her?
To start with he did not notice she had learning difficulties and they were happy together and now because it`s come to light that she does he wants to leave her.I am sure they can work it out and not split up,maybe this is why she did not say anything in the beginning because people are prejudiced and ignorant that people with learning difficulties are unable to love and have a normal relationship and live a normal life.
Tell your friend to grow up a bit and act like an adult...........good luck.

If i am going to be realistic here it is only your friend who can make this decision, he knows how deep her learning difficulties lie and needs to look at what it would mean for thier relationship, I have seen articles in magazines of children who have been taken into care because one or more of the parents has learning difficulties, although i dont agree with it, it goes on.

Just because they have learning difficulties doesnt make them a bad person. Your friends girlfriend will assume it is because of the problem and be upset. If he couldnt tell before then he loves her for who she is...

Thats just not right if he wants to leave her because of the difficulties... everyone has problems... just some peoples are harder or more prominant than others... i say he should stick with her unless they want to break up for normal break up reasons.

well i dont know what her problems are but it cant be that bad if he didn`t notice right away,so if he likes her then he should stay.
As a mother with a son with learning difficulties i find this a bit upsetting and hope my son will never be judged like this.

He should not leave her, absolutely not. Just because she has learning difficulties does not make her any less of a person.
