Yuck.
Green beer honors no one save for chemical dye manufacturers. Honor St. Patrick with a Guinness. Dark, opaque brown with a creamy head, like Irish beer is supposed to be.

Or maybe ... Drinking green beer is fun!
There are a lot of really fun practices that
are somewhat tied to religious belief.
For instance, much of Christmas is actually
based on the Roman Saturnalia ... All kinds
of things descend from the concept of a mid
winter festival.
Doesn't make them any less fun.

When it comes to this holiday, I'm honoring my Irish heritage and nothing else...with beer straight from a bottle.

Green beer, but acknowledge that at that time the "driving out the snakes" means they were killing pagans and druids in Ireland.

I don't know; but on that topic, I hear President Bush might be drinking again. I'm not sure about it, but here's a quick 1 minute video. See what you think.

It's only wrong if you believe you are offending someone by doing so. As an atheist, who is there really to offend?
