Would it be possible to capture the whole thing with a webspider program like Teleport or is it just too big and convoluted? It's huge I know, but it's mostly text and some images; I can cut the sound files and I don't think I've seen video on there before. I'm hoping that it's not going to run with the foreign language links and try to copy each language's version of the site.

By default, Teleport is set to explore 3 links deep from the starting point I choose so I was thinking I'd leave it at that and start it from the Quick Index page.

Actually it is very much downloadable. I found an easy way to get it. They offer it freely:

However to answer my own question; It's huge, according to them the image dump alone was 76 gigs about two years ago. So yeah, nevermind. I was mostly just curious.

Wikipedia is huge. If you're looking for an encyclopedia that you can access without the Internet, then try buying an encyclopedia on CD for the computer. I love Wikipedia, but it's pretty complex to try to capture.
