My only experience with them was when I tried the lo carb diet and they were 0 carbs....not as tasty as potato chips but at least they are allowed on Atkins Diet.

Pork rinds are just the fat... NOT the skin (which is what I believed for many years). They even make some that you can microwave and they puff up, that I would not try. I do agree that BBQ pork rinds are good, but they are something I only eat a few times a year (if that). Not something I can bare to eat much more than that-gotta be in the mood for them.

I had the distinct pleasure of seeing the real deal on how the real pork rinds are made. (Hope you're not currently eating anything) When I was down South (Georgia) they took the pigs intestines and rectum. They placed boiling water through
them until "cleaned"? Then they were sliced into pieces similiar to the size of a small bracelet, dipped in a batter and deep fried. I have to tell you as grotesque that procedure looked those things were delicious!

People eat sushi and you're concerned about pork rinds? Come on, now. If they were too bad, I'd be way dead by now.

Yup. Now for the people who find "pork rinds" objectionable, please don't get me started on "hot dogs." Yeah, that's what I thought. :)

As long as you don't have a health condition that prevents you from eating them, you can have them without any concerns.
