When the apostles used the gift of tounges it was a gift of speaking so that any man in any language would be able to understand that person. This gift helped the apostles to spread the gosple quicker. Today phony churches like to say their members have the gift of tounges and when you hear them speak it sounds like a baby babbling. A bunch of bull. Immagin if the apostles talked like that! You think any one would understand the gospel according to Luke if all he said to them was a;lkadfl;dkjkldf;kjgl;adfkja???
