Why is it that people will only lend me money for gambling? They know that i have a bad addiction so why do they do it? But they will never lend me money for the things i need like food or bus fare only for gambling. I don't get it.

Your lenders could be gamblers themselves and dont want you to get out of their circle. Maybe you are such an asset to them, if not financially, but emotionally. You better quit your gambling and dont accept any more loan just to be used for gambling. Find yourself a support group in your area who have real concern for people like you who want to have a real change for good.

What you need to do is, when you feel the need to gamble, set yourself a limit. Like when you leave home to go to gamble, only take a small amount and then keep saying to your self "i will not get anymore money from the bank" and only spend the amount you have DO NOT get more. Also, if you find your winning DO NOT go over twice the amount you started with, just pull out. If you do that and lower the limit each time, then you'll be cured in no time! :) good luck.

I know a person who is totally addicted to gambling. He works only to support the habit, and depends on others for everything else.

People have to go to his apartment to deliver food they have cooked for him, as he will not go out to eat until his current paycheck is gone.

A few years ago, he lost a kidney because he didn't care to see a doctor about the pain he was feeling, he did not want to leave the gambling website.

His paycheck goes right into his online casino account, and it is usually gone within 2-3 days, from what others tell me.

I have no idea how he pays for rent, heat, electricity and other necessities. Maybe his family members do it, whatever.

You would do well to get professional help to kick that gambling habit, it will literally kill you in due course.

So, the next time the light bill is due, why not tell them you need money to fly to Vegas and get in on the Rock-Paper-Scissors tournament?
