Jesus is the perfect example of bad things happening to good people, and yet there can still be good coming out of it.

As to your question, it was dishonorable. The ends never justify the means.

in the first century, if the Jews had the right to impale someone for non secular motives (a level on which there is a few doubt), that's actually particular they could no longer achieve this for civil offenses; in undemanding words a Roman good like Pontius Pilate had such authority. (Joh 18:31; 19:10) nonetheless, the Jews, and particularly their chief monks and rulers, bore the finest duty for Christ’s impalement The Romans each each now and then tied the sufferer to the stake, in which case he may stay for a number of days earlier his actual patience replaced into conquer by ability of the torture of soreness, thirst, starvation, and publicity to the solar. As with regards to Jesus, nailing the palms (and particular the feet also) of the accused to a stake replaced into prevalent between the Romans. (Joh 20:25, 27; Lu 24:39; playstation 22:16, ftn; Col 2:14) because the wrists have always been seen by ability of anatomists as portion of the palms, some medical adult men imagine the nails were pushed between the small bones of the wrists to lead away from the stripping out that could have exceeded off in the journey that they were pushed by the palms. (See The mag of the yankee medical association, March 21, 1986, p. 1460.) this can be in line with the Bible’s own use of the note “hand” to comprise the wrist in such texts as Genesis 24:40 seven, the position bracelets are suggested to be worn on the “palms,” and Judges 15:14, the position reference is made to fetters that were on Samson’s “palms.” The list does no longer say even if the evildoers impaled alongside Jesus were nailed or basically tied to the stakes. If in undemanding words tied, this can clarify why, at the same time as Jesus replaced into got here across useless, they were nevertheless alive and had to have their legs damaged. (Joh 19:32, 33) lack of life by ability of suffocation quickly said the breaking of their legs, considering that, as some imagine, this may have prevented the raising of the body to ease pressure of chest muscle tissue. for sure, this isn't a conclusive aspect on why the evildoers outlived Jesus, for that they had no longer experienced the psychological and actual torture inflicted on Jesus. He had earlier gone through an all-evening ordeal on the palms of his enemies, as well to being beaten by ability of the Roman infantrymen, per chance to the point that he might want to no longer carry his own torture stake, as replaced into the custom.

No the act of torture committed was not honorable, but the act of torture enduredwas, just ast the act of ridicule is not honorable, the act of enduring in the face of it is. Similarly slandering someone is not honorable, neither is calling ane brother "fool" but , suffering the lashings of undeserved attackes with humility and grace is an act of penance . So you see, by continuing to use derogatory and defaming remarks some continue the torture and abuse to this day, on Him and his followers.

No it wasn't honorable. The soldiers didn't know they were part of some higher purpose, and the jews that accused him wanted him dead, they didn't know he'd come back or that His church would continue. There was nothing honorable about it.

By the way, when I first read the question I thought it said "horrible" and I think a lot of other people read it that way too.

Yes. Regardless of the consequence, I don't think any human is in any position to do anything like that to any human.

No one has the right to take the life of another.

It had nothing to do with honor. It was foretold that he shall suffer as much, because he refuses to abandon us and turn away from us.
