How do I have different backgrounds for different slides? is that possible or does it automatically create the theme you select on the main slide and use that for the rest of them?

If you put a picture in the background (or use a template with a picture background) using the slide master you will have the same picture on all of your slides.

However, you can change this easily by removing the background graphics in the slides you don't want the same background to appear.

To do this, click on Format, Background, and check the Hide Background Graphics box.

Now do what you want. Your next slide will have the original picture still in tact.

Note: if you are planning on using different pictures on most of the slides then remove the picture in the Slide Master (View, Master and Slide Master).

For each slide you can format the slide differently. Click format, background then you can change it. You can also click apply to all slides, which akes all the slides the same. Hope it works

If you use the template at first, then it puts it on every page. If you use a blank page with each slide; you should be able to use different backgrounds.

On your toolbar, there should be something called "Design". Usually located to the "New Slide" icon. Click the Design, and you will get a menu of designs to choose from.
