Schizophrenia is considered incurable.

However you can manage the symptoms with medication or/and learning coping mechanisms.

Also, some people aren't constantly ill with it- they can have good times when they feel quite well and don't have disorder of thought, delusion, hallucination e.t.c..

There are loads of different types of schizophrenia and everyone experiences the various symptoms differently.

No psychiatric illness is absolutely curable. There are many drugs out there that can minimize the symptoms and make you feel better. Even depression, you may feel better, but the route cause has to be found during therapy, however schizophrenia is more of a chemical inbalance a bit like bipolar, but can be treated with drugs.

I have worked with several schizophrenic people. Their condition is lifelong, they will always have it, it may be incurable, but it can be treated with antipsychotic drugs.
