Some of you guys believe that many wars were started becuz of religion. I'm not saying your wrong, but if we just all accepted each other for who we are, wouldn't the world be a better place?

IMHO, the reason why someone would hate and mock another religion or faith is because of ignorance and insecurity.
Ignorance because people tend to fear what they don't know or understand. And it doesn't help when people try to explain another faith and tell lies or stretch the truth until it's almost unrecognizable.
Insecurity because they don't believe that someone could be happy believing something different than what they believe. If that's the case, then what if they're faith is misplaced? In that case, they look for reasons why they are right and the others are wrong, even if those reasons are wrong.
Why can't we all come together by our similarities, rather than pull apart because of our differences?

many wars have been started over religion. most religions say that they are the one true way to the devine and therefore the "other" guys who have the same doctrine are the bad guys. so it would be nice to live and let live, but when people believe that they are on the right path and everyone else is under satan's control (or whatever they call their devil type presence) they think they're doing what's right.
