abreva is good. So is Zovirax, Valtrex(in a cream form), and Oragel Multi-Action Cold Sore relief. If it is inside your mouth anbesol is about the best ya can do.

Rinse often with mouthwash and buy an OTC medication such as Kanka. Stay away from sodas and candies. Eat citrus fruits. You can also rinse frequently with salt water.

use zovirax or an alcohol free mouthwash like oral b, listerine is not good cuz it has a high concentration of alcohol and it will only make it worse!
