Nothing but water all day and 3 glasses of all natural milk (skin) and OJ. Will this help me lose weight (5-10 pounds) over a 24-48 HR. period. I think your metabolism needs more time than that to start to slow down so its almost a win-win situation, no?

starving the body is the best way to increase body fat and decrease the metabolic rate. the body begins to enter starvation mode 3-4 hours after the last meal or when the GIT is completely empty which ever occurs first

If you go on an all-liquid diet, then make sure you'll need to drink more that just water & milk. Add fresh juices, fat-free shakes, vegetable juice, tea etc. I haven't really beenon one myself, but I've heard people do it. It's got to be tough. I'm not sure about 5-10 lbs, but you will lose weight. Provided you workout to burn the previous calories aswell.

Oh and a random fact for you. Excess water can cause water poisoning. It can cause your brain cells to swell up and burst.

bad idea, the only thing you'll get is to slow down your metabolism, and when you get back to eat as u used to do you body with its new slow metabolism will store every single thing as fat, just in case.
Try cardio and healthy eating.

Your metabolism starts slowing down with the first missed meal, so this will not work. Sorry. And you might faint.

Bad idea... if you don't eat, your body will go into starvation mode and hold on to fat. Plus if you lose any weight at all it will be just water weight that will come back on when you start eating again. I would certainly not recommend this. Just watch what you eat. But please, EAT.
