It was unveiled on Tv april 16 1964 and Live at the New-York fair on the 17 th ..Just for information although they called them 1964 1/2 .They are all registered as 1965.You will not find any mustang registered on the registration as 1964

the 65 Mustang hit the dealers on April 17th 1964 and today the ones built before Aug 17, 1964 are called a 64½ but they are all registered as a 65,

It was MFG 1964 1/2 and its a white convertible black cloth type and its in a ford museum, vin # 0000001, I have a great photo of it , I have seen it ,and it has 7 miles on it, now that's the production date, it was off the block is 1963 tool and dies were being cut for it in 1962 and go back from there, paper work drawings were in the late 50's and early 60's
