punishment beyond that?

I pretty much see it that way...death would be the punishment. Makes no sense to me, because we are all going to die. Seems to be one of the only things mankind can say they truely share.

2 Timothy 3:16 says, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness..." God corrects us when we do wrong but He doesn't punish us. When He disciplines us, sometimes we human see that as punishment but it's a wrong concept totally. But if we still disobey Him and continue to live in sin after He disciplines us, then we have to bear the consequences and that's when we say the wages of sin is death where the souls of the disobedient ones would be tortured in hell. Strictly there isn't any punishment beyond that.

It's pretty ingenious, really, to argue that the punishment for failing to group-think with The Herd is death - death being one of the Great Inevitables. So when you die, they can point and go "See?" And nobody is immortal; therefore we ALL need Jesus, i.e. religion. It's a great racket.

Because there are many naive people who are easily taken in by false teachings of the Bible......Satan is very influential as he works through wolves who come in sheep's clothing. Everyone should study the scriptural teachings of the Bible themselves instead of some false prophet or false doctrine using smoke and mirrors to persuade them that they will "burn in hell for eternity" as a scare tactic if they don't get right with God. God will not let anyone suffer in torment like that! It is not in God's character to do that. God is not cruel or unjust. He is very kind and has patience beyond our comprehension, and nearly all of Humanity will eventually come to their salvation after the Great White Throne Judgment. Eternal damnation is reserved only for Satan and his fallen angels where they will be forever in torment in a place called Tartarus; meaning, a confining of angels. The wages of sin is death........the total destruction of ones soul!........ From dust they came and to dust they shall return.

The death spoken of in the Bible is not a punishment per se, although most will tell you it is. What this refers to is your decision to not follow a Christian way while here also means that you will not be in the presence of a Christian God when you die. Essentially, your existence will be an isolation/separation from his presence (not a fire and brimstone existence)- that's the "punishment" you speak of.

Physical death is just a by-product of death as defined as being cut off from communication with G-d.

It is like being cut off from your father's will
no inheritance.

People who believe in punishment after death have learned such teachings from misinformed clergymen. When God passed sentence on Adam for his disobedience, he did not tell him he was going to a burning hell. Instead, he told him he would be returning to the lifeless state he was in before he was created. "From dust you are and to dust you will return."

Ro. 6:7: "For he who has died has been acquitted from his sin.”

Death is the ultimate punishment.

The bible says it's the 2nd death, (not eternal hell).
The eternal hell part was for Satan & the beast.

They just need to read their bibles, and stop letting their churches make up extra crap.

---Gambling --not a sin
(the bible just says something like pay your debtors)
---Masturbation --not a sin
(Onan was supposed to fulfill he duty and get he's dead bro wife preg, but he pulled out instead)

Are you a good person? What a question, most of us believe that we are good people because we can look around and find someone that is far worse than we are. We can always point to the things that we think make us a good person.

But how good are we really? Dare we take this test and look at ourselves and see if we really are good? Hmmm.

If you are willing try this and see just how good a person you are.

The Good Person Test.

How will you do? Pass or fail?

Have you ever told a lie?
Doesn't matter how big or small, just a lie.
What does that make you? Before answering think about this, if I told you a lie what would you call me? A liar?

Have you ever stolen anything? Cost doesn't matter, a piece of gum, failed to give back an ink pen that you borrowed, anything.
What does that make you?

Jesus said, "You know the saying of old, you shall not commit adultery but I say that if look at someone to lust after them you have committed adultery in your heart.
Have you ever lusted?

Jesus said that hate is equal to murder.
Have you ever hated anyone?

See one day we all are going to stand before a Holy God on Judgment Day and he is going to judge us based on His Holy Law, the Ten Commandments. These are just 4 of them and how did you do? Guilty? I have broken all of these and more, what about you? How well will you do on Judgment Day?

If we break just one point of God's Law we are guilty of breaking all the law and Gods Wrath abides upon us all. Based on God's Law we are all guilty and all are deserving of punishment. But there is an out for us.

Jesus paid the price for each one of us, took on himself God's Wrath so we wouldn't have to face it on our own. Jesus was beaten, battered, bleed and died so we wouldn't have to face God's Wrath. He rose again so that we would life in his presence. Our crimes, His payment.

The real question is where will you stand on Judgment Day. Pay yourself or have it paid for you. Think about it.
