'We have exams this week'

I think it is
'Tengamos los examenes esta semana'

But probably wrong!

Thanks everyone, I realise now, had a mind lapse!
It all the subjunctive that I am trying to learn, it is making my normal grammar become confused!
Of course it is tenemos! Silly me!

Curius and Keliy are right. Everybody else said "tenemos los exámenes esta semana", but "los" is not necesary in this statement, besides, it is "examenes", withouth the accent on the "a".

It is "Tenemos los exámenes esta semana." Technically you need the accent mark because the accent does not shift when you make the word plural. "Tengamos" is a real word, but it does not mean "we have", more like "let's have" or "that we may have." It's a form called the present subjunctive, and might be used in a sentence like:

Ella quiere que tengamos los exámenes esta semana. (She wants us to have the exams this week.)

Don't feel too bad though: you're not the first person to make the mistake of generalizing "tengo" into "tengamos." I once saw a sign on a restaurant door saying: "No tengamos un baño"; they were trying to say "We don't have a bathroom" but ended up saying "Let's not have a bathroom." It cracked me and my son up. :-)

Brenno: Don't worry, there are plenty of Spanish speakers around! ;-)
