A former male friend of mine at work is avoiding me. We were close friends b4, but we had joked about hooking up until I got upset with him since I ended up wanting to and felt like he was disrespecting me. I ended up calling him a dog since he has a gf overseas and was talking to me about doing it. Anyway I ended up writing a letter to him apologizing to him and he told me I was too weird to be his friend since I gave him mixed signals. He emailed me telling me I needed therapy and that I should get a bf and some friends. When he emailed me this, I was hurt and had been ignoring him for a month, but I could tell he would look at me and try to make me jealous by talking to other girls. I think he realized he had hurt my feelings since I could tell he looked guilty sometimes. I went up to him and said hi and he said hi. He looked at me like he wanted to talk. We have been just saying hi if we run into each other and people at work are being too nice.

Just saying hi when you run into each other... I think that is a good way to keep it.
He wanted to get his freak on with you while he has a gf overseas. Sounds like he wants it all. You would just be setting yourself up for failure. Get involved only to have him disrespect you when his GF came around.

This man's opinion is to let that friendship reside in the past and move on. Chances are when you move on he will chase. Then you just ask him how his GF would react if she knew he was asking girls around him to sleep with him.

He probably feels like he over re-acted to your feelings. Sometimes it's hard for guys to apologize, so they SHOW it instead. Anyway, start being upbeat around him. Make new friends as he suggested and he'll wonder what's up and come around. Let him overhear you talking on the phone making plans for the evening. Now, act like you don't realize he's there. Then "notice" him and look "guilty" and end your "phone call". See what happens then.

it sounds like he is unsure about you. I would say the best way to approach him would be as direct as possible. Don't beat around the bush, don't use innuendo, don't ask open ended questions. Just be direct and say what you are feeling. He will either accept you or he won't, but either way you will have an answer that allows you to make your next move.
