Maybe your question is simple but to me it is highly philosophical and scientific.

Philosophical: let us assume that there is an undiscovered tribe living in, say, Borneo. To each other, do they exist? Yes. To the rest of the world, do they exist? Therein lies the difficulty. Because we are not aware of their existence, does that mean that they do not exist?

Scientific : A crash victim has been in a coma for the last 6 month (and is still in that coma), but there are brainwaves and a functioning heart. I think I can safely say that this person exists. But what if there are no brainwaves and no functioning heart? For all practical purposes, this person is really dead but is being kept alive by machines. Did you get that contradiction (dead but alive)? If the relatives/authorities decide to take such a person off the life-supporting equipment, they will not be charged for murder/manslaughter. This indicates that that person does not exist.

Then there is the story of the child that was raised by wolves. Assume that the birth was never registered, LEGALLY that person does not exist. Physically, she does. Can she even be described as 'people' at the time she was discovered? (The authorities did give her a name and try to socialize her). From a human standpoint, I wish her all the best (just in case she reads this post).

Just my point : a very complex question.

Surely that depends on how you define existence. Either way it seems some people could be left out. If existence relies even on breathing, should you count the people who rely on ventilators for oxygen?. However, if you mean a physical existence, having an external body, it woulw depend on your view of the afterlife and spirits. It's your choice. Pick your definition of existence and you can answer this yourself.

Not sure what your question means. If they are "some people" then they exist.

However there is such a thing as imagination, so if some people are only in your imagination, then yes, they don't exist.

If you mean god, or jesus or allah, or something spiritual, then that is something that you have to decide for yourself. Each of us has to determine what our own belief system is, it can't be done by anyone else, although you can certainly gain some guidance from talking to others.

Yes.I believe that there are MANY PEOPLE who do not "exist". I consider all those people who are alive but unable to think( and thus reason ) to be non existent.

Yes people who preach that their religion is the only path to God. Other people that don't exist are hatemongers and bigots. They are taking up valuable air and space.
