Hot Carl asked about SIDS - my son is gone due to SIDS. Considering how his question was asked, would it be sin, if he had posed the same question, in the same manner to me, to break bones in his body - for example his face, or legs and arms?

And Hot Carl did respond to my, potentially overly robust answer to his question.

This is a question I've thought through briefly in the past, and have never had to actually think through a real world scenario until this morning.

Happy St Pat's - thanks for the thoughts.

I guess it would be up to you. I have no qualms about what I post because I know what my intentions are. If you can do the same with regards to your question it's your call.

Let me clarify, obviously (or maybe not so) I disagree with the assertion that there is a god who sends punishments to specific groups. I illustrated it by using the most benign group there is. From there I extended it to the real scenerio present in our society, people taking sick pleasure in death and the misery associated with it. As for our specific case, you know how I feel.

That guy is a immature jerk. Just know that your child is in Heaven. As for that guy, he's got a long way to go! Do not worry I want to punch him too. I am so sorry that you lost your child, every time I hear of something happening to any child my heart is full of grief. I can't believe how immature some people are. They truly are ugly. In my religion (Mormonism) children are innocent, all people will be punished for their own sins not Adam's transgression. We believe that children do not have the ability to choose right from wrong. I don't see how anyone can think a baby is evil or has sinned. Your son is in Heaven. Through Jesus' love a baby could never go to a bad place after they die.

I'm not sure I understand the question, but no, it's not a sin to remember a baby you've lost. After all, you'll get to be with that baby again someday if you've chosen to live your life for Christ. I'm very sorry for your loss.

i doubt hot carl would have the guts to stand in front of a living human and ask such vile, replsive, hate filled questions. he is a coward.

i'm so sorry for the loss of your son --my heart goes out to you. i can't imagine the pain in your heart. while i know i can remind you that he is now in heaven with God.... it still hurts. my prayers are with you.
God bless

I am so sorry for your pain.

There are not words to erase thoughtless cruel things said by people who haven't a clue!

God Bless you and ease your heart!
(I have not read the question he asked)

According to Christianity, you sin just by being alive.
