i also need to see a doctor, i am 52, i have no ins. no job, i cant seem to get help any where, no money if i would need a script. and if i go to the emergency room it would cost an arm and a leg, can anyone give advise?

You can go to the emergency room without paying. Just have them send you the bill. Pay it when you can.

As far as prescriptions go, ask the doctor if he/she has any free samples. If not, ask them to prescribe older medications that aren't as expensive as the newer designer drugs available. Then ask the pharmacist if they have any way to help you out.

Try Medicaid. My friend was approved and she didn't think she would qualify. She had two surgeries and meds cost her $5.00 each. She was refered to a clinic and has wonderful Doctors. If you don't qualify for medicaid you should still be able to go to a clinic. Good luck in your quest.
