I have someone in my family with a disability, so I know exactly what you mean. What the people who say that don't realize is that they (along with everyone else) are one car accident or head injury away from being fed through a tube and in a similar situation. I wonder if the cause would be the same if it happened to them?

Sin is NOT the DIRECT cause of sickness and disease. Those things come about because of factors that can easily be shown to be the result of germs or viruses or genetic mishaps.

That being said, sin IS the cause of death and disease entering this world in the first place. Plenty of people who don't have any unconfessed or unrepented of sin in their lives get sick. People like your son who were born with a malady obviously have not been stricken by God for something which they did.

I'm sorry to hear about your trial and any insensitive comments that people may have made about the cause of his condition. I hope that you will look to God to strengthen you and give you grace and patience and wisdom so that you can provide a loving and caring and nurturing environment for this special child, in Jesus' name, amen.

Yeah, that goes back to whether Adam's fall brought physical death into the world in the first place along with his spiritual death. If physical death was now a possibility, than the logic is that disease and sickness also followed. On the other hand, the people in John 9:2 asked Jesus who sinned, the man or his parents, for his blindness, and Jesus replied, "neither". So there you have it, your son and you are both off the hook.

Now as to the sin of profanity...

Here the scriptures address why mankind grows old, and suffers various illnesses. It addresses the root cause - It isn't saying that you or your son are any worse sinners than anyone else.

This is usually referred to as "Adamitic sin" since Adam's original sin was what put us all in this boat! The ones to be mad at are Satan, Adam, and Eve.

God has promised to fix all the problems, war, disease, hunger, etc, in the earthly Paradise he is going to install on earth soon! So have hope that your son can be cured!

Don't worry about it...Religion is just a load of BS anyway. They are the most judgmental people on the planet! They don't think of the ramifications of what they say or do until it directly affects their lives then they change their tune. For example they all believe being gay is a sin and you'll burn in hell until their own son turns out to be gay..then its OK..I'm sure your son is a beautiful and wonderful young man..don't waste your time or breathe on these mindless drones. Good Luck I hope this helps..

no, sin is not the reason for diseases.

Sometimes sin makers get severe incurable diseases for

eg: AIDS patients who make illegal sex.

But not all those who get diseases are sin makers many holy people too get diseases that is all a test from GOD to test how they overcome them and to find out whether they search for HIM during their pains.

there is non diseaseless even a small rash in the skin is a disease.everyone has done a sin. but disease is not the only punishment for it.

You told you that all sickness and diseases are a result of sin? IF some 'preacher' of the gospel (alledgedly) told you that; my present suggestion to you is that you not listen to him as a 'man (or woman)' of God (presently).
Yes, some diseases are brought on by sin; but not all!!!
May you today there receive to God's glory a large pleasant surprise!!!

i don't remember seeing that question. your son is not autistic because he's a sinner (as you already know) your son is autistic because the powers that be know that you were the only one on this earth who would be able to nurture and care for him the way he needs. there have been many recent breakthroughs in autism lately. stay strong and love that precious boy!
blessed be

God made man to live with him in a perfect world. Since Eve and Adam disobeyed Gods word . God cursed the world with sin .Man reaped what he sowed. That is why we all suffer ,and the world is the way it is heartless and evil .Some people suffer more , some less .I am sorry for your son but ,you are not alone.

sin separates us from God, period...

a disease or sickness or struggle is not caused by sin...

here is what Jesus said, when people were stupid enough to think blindness was caused by sin

John 9:1-3
As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man who had been blind from birth. “Rabbi,” his disciples asked him, “why was this man born blind? Was it because of his own sins or his parents’ sins?”
“It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,” Jesus answered. “This happened so the power of God could be seen in him.

I am truly sorry that people are oppressing you, they themselves need to read and ask for understanding... I pray for healing for your son and strength for you
