I can't do my coursework!
It's stressing me out so much and I've got no one who can help me, my teacher keeps asking me for it, I have no proper excuse for having not done it except that I'm really struggling with it, it's making me feel so depressed and now I'm so behind with it and keep getting more coursework to do on top of it. What am I supposed to do? I have to have two lots of essays to do by Monday!

Talk to your teacher.
Although they may seem evil when theyre handing out work, they are there to help you.
Explain that you are struggling, and ask for help with the bits youare struggling with and maybe a deadline extension. You dont need to make up an excuse, just tell the truth, be honest.

No teacher would their students getting depressed and stressed over coursework, they would want to help and gude you acheive the best you can, thats their job.

The longer you leave it, the worse it is going to get, so bite the bullet, speak to the teacher and together you can start an action plan of how to get your work done. They will understand, and appreciate your honesty. I guarantee you will feel better for doing it than keeping it to yourself.
xx

My father had a little phrase he always told me when I'd feel overwhelmed "How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time". Its so true. Try not to look at the whole thing - break it into pieces. Sometimes its intimidating to tackle the project as a whole. Set your mind on your first task - maybe reading your texts. Then take a little break. Then, work on just 1 of the essays, then take a break, etc. It won't seem so overwhelming.

However, and I mean no offense to you, playing on the Y!A isn't getting you anywhere. Now, log off, grab something to eat and a nice cold drink, and get cracking.

If you need specific help with a topic, by all means come back - we're here to help! You can do this!

Okay, its stressful. I'm not going to lecture you but education is not just about learning coursework. Its about life skills such as communicating with people, meeting deadlines, applying self-control, organising your time etc. I'm sure you could add to the list yourself. You are possibly not going to get them done! Talk to your teacher, if more of you spoke to us, we could help. BUT remember that we too have deadlines, for marking, for handing in coursework marks etc. But this is a two way process. Most of us help, and succeed, its a question of how and when you approach us. Try it! But don't give excuses, be totally honest! Remember we have been through it ourselves and we are really human although I'm sure we don't always show it, or you think we aren't!

The internet is really good for researching but dont just copy an essay it wont help you. Or talk to your teacher ask them to give you a extension and ask them to write some key points down and to explain things to you again

if it's essays, just go on internet, print everything you can find to do with the subject, highlight important essential notes and retype using a dictionary and thesaurus. and go to a bookshop, they have the syllabus coursebooks (if your in uk) and they give a lot of help. esp if it's english. good luck and if you still don't have it done by mon, go see your teacher early, break down in tears and i mean, serious bawling eyes out and say your terrified your gonna fail and can't think straight. it'll buy you time. try and do some though otherwise they'll see through it.

It sounds like you may be struggling with depression. You need to try to do as much as you can on your two essays this weekend (ask for help on here). Then, on Monday, you need to come clean with your teacher and ask if he/she knows where you can get help. Good luck! :)

DONT copy essays from the net....it;s cheating and you wont be learning anything in the long run thus your self esteem wont improve if you cheat

You need to go back tom the tutor, be honest and say you are having problems.

look...
list all the things you have to do on a piece of paper. then rate them according to importance and deadlines. then start with the first one, and keep going on. Don't worry if you can't work out everything, no-one is perfect and there's only so much that you can do.

If your tutor is worth his/her salt he/she would have discussed this matter with you. It is his/her job to see that you are coping with the work set or find out why and correct it.

The longer you wait to get help from the academic, the more frustrated and depressed you will feel so get on with it now, do what you can and explain your difficulty to the Tutor.
