Tip: You should always post as much context as you can when asking questions like this. Ignoring the obvious slavery meaning, it can be used:
1. To indicate that one person defeats the other person badly, usually used for video games: "I owned you in Super Monkey Ball."
2. To indicate the you got beaten badly in same: "I was (or got) owned in Super Monkey Ball."
3. To indicate that the company you work for gives you way to much work: "They own me (or own my soul, to be more poetic)."
I think, since you said "gets owned", we're not talking about the verb form "own" but the passive participle form "owned." In that case, I think the option 2 is the most likely.

Slavery is someone owned my someone else. Anything else said is not respecting our language.
If the word "owned" is in parenthesis, it could mean a football player under contract or the like.
It the case however that many, including many of the quite wrong answers here, use the word in a quite wrong way.

It means that this very person wants to get owned by someone!
I think it is not healthy to want something like that, but love makes such ...co-effects. .
If someone doesn't want to get owned, he is not owned even if in chains!!!
The owner is defined by the owned!

It is usually meant in business terms or in sports. It does not really mean anything except that they dominate over the other.
