How do I get the best picture quality from my HDTV ?

My Tv : 26LX2D LG HDTV and I am getting a PS3 for the european launch (23rd of March) and I already have a hdmi cable ready and I would like to know if there are any tips to get better quailty picture from my TV.

As long as you have the tuning correct, you should have no trouble. Don't forget though, not every channel will be HD.
