I just received notice that I won 5M British pounds in a lottery sponsored by Microsoft and AOL.
This is a scam isn't it? PLEASE TELL ME RIGHT AWAY BECAUSE THEY ONLY GAVE ME TEN DAYS TO REPLY OR I LOSE IT. billclaborn@sbcglobal.net

Did you enter the lottery? No, then how could you win it? It is a scam, you will be asked to provide either money (administrative charge) or your bank details (to process your 'winnings').

Of course it's a scam. Did you buy a ticket for this lottery? The obvious answer is NO, therefore you did not participate. Don't reply - delete that message, and if you did not buy a ticket to any lottery that you have "won", then it's a scam.

Yep, I won too. And when they asked for personnel info. I wrote them back and said since I'm so rich, why don't you send me a plane ticket and I can give you my information face to face. To which I received no answer. huh? (imagine that?)
