I remember trying to perform CPR on my son. I remember watching other folks perform CPR on him. I remember feeling numb when the ambulance came, took him, and sat in the parking lot for what felt like years. The night was cool, the flashing lights pierced my heart. I didn't feel numb any more, I was numb.
When we got to the hospital, I held his hand and talked to him - he was still. That went on for about 3 hours. The two doctors trying to revive him didn't want to make eye contact with me, until it was obvious to me he was gone.
My family and I held his little body, crying, for another 3 hours - until the coroner had to take him.
Buying the plot at the cemetery was pretty uplifting, and picking out the headstone, with my kids picking the font type - a really fun afternoon, we should have made a picnic out of it.
I thank God for my son's life, however short. I also thank
God no one has ever made the comments you've just made to me. I can honestly say, (God forgive me) at this point, I will probably rip your face off if we ever meet.
You sir, are a coward, and have no common sense or courtesy. I hope you get a chance to meet my savior, and never meet me.

The question was poorly formed, and was intended to harm - there is no reading between the lines, considering the topic and how it was posed.
The facts don't change, this is true. There is no reasonable explanation for the manner in which this question was asked.

I noticed some thumbs down for bekahdoo's answer. And I have to agree with her. Children who die before the "age of accountability" are considered safe in Jesus, rather than using the traditional word "saved". This is based on the nature of God, who would not condemn anyone who lacked the ability to respond. The age of accountability is generally thought to be the time at which a child understands the difference between right and wrong. Sometimes God will allow tragic events like the death of a child, to enter our lives, so that we can understand and appreciate His comfort and be prepared to comfort others in their time of need.

That is a really immature question. Do you ever think of the people who's babies might have died, and being a little more respectful? Babies are innocent, unless you are Catholic or Lutheran or any other religion that teaches babies are not innocent because of Adams sin.Even then God wouldn't KILL the baby because ti was evil, that is what baptism is for! Judging by your immature question I would assume that you are not religious in this sort. So your just an idiot. Why don't you grow up and have a family?

To a Christian mindset, maybe the Christian "God" knows the babies would grow up to be gay, so "he's" trying to cut down the numbers.
The bible says "God" can know someone who's still in the womb, so it follows "he" could condemn them in advance for things "he" knows they would do. (Source: Christian doublespeak.)
Your question isn't as rude as Christianity is on the subject of divine retribution.
Edit: I had an infant son who died too. That doesn't change the fact that Christianity's version of a cruel and spiteful almighty is wrong, wrong, wrong, and your question poses an idea no more "evil" than the fundamentalist Fred Phelps bandwagon.
P.S. There's your Christian love in the answer below mine.

Actual fundie quote:
"Most afflictions like this (mental illness) are caused by sins committed while still inside the womb. If she can repent for what she does god will embrace her and make her as human as you or me but if she chooses not to she'll always be like this."

Stop the mass vaccinations of tiny infants and you will see cases of SIDS drop,
I think blame should be put where it's due, human error.
Allergic reaction to the ingredients of vaccinations, especially the DPT are known to cause severe sleep apnea in babies and children,
it's been studied and documented.

God is a loving God, he doesn't hate or "punish" anyone! All babies and children go to heaven unless they have reached the age of accountability.

You are a sick individual.
Babies are innocent of any evil. Even if they do something that we "responsible" adults consider bad, babies do out of innocence and therefore are not punished for it. Worry about something more important, why don't you.

Don't blame God for the problems in this world. God made this world perfect. Blame Adam and Eve. God gave mankind dominion over this planet and mankind handed their dominion over to Satan. Satan is the god of this world now, but not for long. Who do you serve?
