Atheists can't be mad at god, dig? If someone asks me to proof read their paper and I give them some criticism does it follow that I'm angry with them?

They dont understand you and they make assumptions when they dont understand.

I understand where atheism comes from, but I know they understand me when I say, theres more to life than the 5 senses.

I don't label it as being mad at God; I label it as a question from someone who doesn't understand what they are reading, or did not follow the subject and object of what is being discussed, or who does not have the knowledge of idioms, or who does not understand a symbology or analogy that was given for purposes of teaching, etc etc.
I label it exactly what it is: a question.
I submit to you that besides some fallacy in translations, there are no flaws nor are there any contradictions in the true Word of God. Only mans inability to understand.
Thats why its good to ask questions.
Thats also why it is extremely important that the answers be accurate.

The problem with your scenario is that no body asked you to proof read the Bible. You assume that we want to hear your opinion.

If you knew anything about the Bible you would know that God calls us to use the intelligence that He gave us to seek the truth. To be doubters.

Interesting that you say this because when I point out the logical flaws with atheism, most atheists will accuse me of being angry at them.

My personal opinion, athiests are angry at everything and everybody. They can't know true love because they eschew the author of true love.

dig?

Surely, a great mind like yours, should know that most books of history have some flaws. What do you bet that Hillary's, "Living History" is full of them. But I understand your point as to people getting mad about it. I am a Christian and will say beyond any doubt that the Bible has errors. And not only errors but a lot of useless info, as do most books. For example: I have a book about lawn care in which 50% of it is useless, but then how can someone write a book about lawn care without including a bunch of nonsense. But I must also say that the other 50% is very good info. The Bible was written and translated by men.

Because there is a large number of people who cannot distinguish between a book written by men about God and God itself. They think the bible floated down from heaven and is perfect disregarding the ultimate editor of it...Pagan emperor Constantine and the fact that the vast majority of written works were discarded/destroyed to give only ONE side of the message and events.

Belief in God is one thing
Belief in bible is totally different

p_l_gray> From everything I have seen there is a vast minority of people who ask for opinion about bible but that doesn't stop all the preachers from quoting bible verses at me. If they can do it so can the other side..let's be fair.

Those who lean unto there own understanding of scripture are leading others astray and blinded by their "pride!" But this has to occur for the Kingdom of God is coming to this earth and establish His way as the only way.

Pride is man's downfall. The End of the circle of man's self rule will be the beginning of Christ's Kingdom but that "pride" must be broken first!

Because they absolutely can NOT comprehend not believing in God. It's not possible for some people to wrap their brains around that at ALL, so they have to make up explanations. The two most common are that atheists are MAD at God, and that there are no ACTUAL atheists. (That we really believe deep down but don't want to admit it.)

Because pointing out so-called flaws proves only one thing. The lack of understanding and research of the individual.

Can't say I'm aware of any "logical flaws" in the Bible. Could you share them with me? We'll study them in depth.

~~~ carl,,,, A Heretic, by definition, is a direct affront to The Believer. Your tact and patience with their Ignorance must overcome their amount of Intolerance. However, it will always be an uphill fight.
