Do you get tired of the bashing towards us? Does it make your faith stronger when people write hateful stuff about us?
For me, I'm am tired of it, but it only serves to make me even more proud to be a Muslim. Shall we pray to Allah for the terrorists to stop what they are doing? I will do so. I am tired of people of judging us, because of them.
Muslims, let us unite in peace and love to end all hate in this world. Not only to us, but to all that don't deserve it. Let us pray for peace in this world. Allah bless us all.

What I meant was that nobody in this world deserves to be hated against for what they believe in. It doesn't matter what you believe in, you are still a human being and you deserve to be treated like one. Sorry for the misunderstanding Dee.

I am am Muslim and Yes, there is alot of bashing towards Muslims right now--but we have to understand that we are living in a point where is not easy on us. Look at what the Prophet and the Believers went through 1400 years ago--they really endured suffering their whole lives. Allah says that the Belivers endured "suffering and adversity", and I have to keep reminding myself that when I begin to struggle. At the same time, as woman, I do get very upset at the very un-Islamic ways that I see some Muslim men doing towards women and their daughters like female circumcision, honor killings, forced marriages, not being able to drive--and the Muslims deserve a little corrective criticism by the media from that because that is not what Muhammd preached--and it makes us look so bad since that is not a reflection of Islam. At any rate, by doing right people will eventually see the beauty of our religion.

I let it slide off me like water off a duck's back. Where I live there are no other non Arabic muslims. I live quite alone as a Muslim in my day to day life. I am proud of my modest dress and scarf. Many is the time I have been the only scarfed woman in large events but I take pride in this.
When I post in here I sometimes mention I am Muslim sometimes not. Once i was told I "played the Muslim card" in a post, but it was just mentioned to show that I was giving my answer from that point of view. I tend to just be a woman and humanist in here and win them over with words and discussion. Mention muslim and you are unread and given a thumbs down in the political section!
Did you know that, because Canada has produced a charming and successful Muslim televison programme that we are being called all sorts of names by many Americans? Too bad because the show is completely inoffensive, very witty and memorable. Amazingg, the Imam is actually very hot.

I get insults thrown at me occasionally. I also get some funny comments. Once I was shopping for a friend and that included a significant amount of pork and bacon. Someone in line looked at me and rather snottily commented, "I thought they were not supposed to eat pig" to his companion.
I just gave him a brilliant smile and said, "I am shopping for my employer. This is hers. She is Jewish." It was true LOL. That joke led to a 5 minute chat on dietary traditions that left them knowing about how we slaughter animals humanely. So, education is often where you find the chance to dispense it with ease and a smile.
I find I use these times to disarm with a smile. I cannot be bothered to deal with the heavy negativity. In those cases I do a quick scan of what and who it is coming from and just move on without a word.
If we stoop to that level, they conquer.

Christians get the same 'bashing'. America hates religious people. It's creating a certain destiny which is against the God of Abraham.

These people are not sincere at all, they just come here to spend a good time by insulting and mocking religions .. they never thought of reading a book or listening to Muslims.

I don't get tired but perhaps one day I will. It always pushes me to learn more about Islam and then clear them up from misconceptions. Yes, it makes my faith stronger.

I just get tired when I see people work their butt off trying to make a religion they know nothing about look bad.
In other words, they read a couple of verses here and there, and just because they read a for a few days, they think they know it all.
Honestly, its all just them being defensive, and makes me want to ignore their entire presence.
And I do.
