It seems like if someone was causing your culture to be generally looked down upon, you'd encourage the trouble makers to straighten up and fly right. Of couse, people shouldn't judge all Hispanics by the actions of 8.5 million illegal immigrants but you know it's happening. So, how DO you feel about it?

I guess I wasn't clear...my question is strictly about Hispanics, Mexicans specifically, and what, if any, divisions there are because of ILLEGAL immigration by Mexicans.

No, making the statement I did is not prejudical. You only have to read the questions and comments in this section to see that there is a large bias against Hispanics in general and lot of it has stemmed from illegal immigration. I have made no remarks what so ever about my views of Hispanics.

I am fifth generation Spanish American. I hate them. They make people think I am a green card holder, then they have the nerve to say how sadyou do not know "your" language. My mom still speaks spanish but we are first and foremost American's.

I despise them for the legal bs we now have to go through to prove legality which never happened until amnesty.

They refuse to assimilate and break the laws and then demand services so many generations of all immigrants shyed away from.

I voted for English In govt laws, for no schools taught in thier language and I teach ESL from time to time. But they get lazy they expect people to cater to them in every facet of live.

Don't you think that making statements about a group of people is a bit prejudicial? I've known illegal immigrants who are lazy, and I've known some who are the hardest workers I've ever met. The same goes for Americans. I know some who work hard and are respectable and some who are lazy. Not all immigrants are a certain way, whether they are illegal or not.

No, it wasn't you who made the prejudicial comments, it was CCC. "But they get lazy they expect people to cater to them in every facet of live." That's just ridiculous and not every illegal immigrant is like that and that's what I meant is prejuducial, not anything you said. And I agree that Hispanics are discriminated against. I know both legal and illegal immigrants, as well as Hispanics whose families have been here for generations. All of them get treated the same. People fail to realize that people are different and someone's skin color or nationality doesn't tell you everything (or even anything) about them. Anyway, I'm not Hispanic, but my fiancee is and he's met both kinds of people...those who judge him by his skin color and those who don't and we're both sick of it. Isn't it time that this country got past racism and prejudice??? And I agree to an extent with other people that this isn't about race, it's about illegal immigration. Then again, when you ask someone about illegal immigrants they almost always talk about latinos or hispanics. It's like those terms have become synonymous in people's minds when in fact, we get illegal immigrants from all over.

Okay...didn't realize that my being a compassionate person would be such a problem. I agree that many illegal immigrants do stupid things, I'm simply saying that no one can say that ALL of a group of people do something, that's how racism and prejudice gets started. I've heard from people from other countries that ALL Americans are rude and expect to get everything handed to them and expect others to cater to them and that's simply NOT true. I'm not sure what I said to make you mad...I can't see the link that you posted and I agree that putting a Mexican flag over an American one is very disrepectful, my only point is that not ALL of any one group is anything. I do agree that's it's a contradiction when I say that not all illegal immigrants are bad, they are breaking the law after all (which I don't agree with), but it doesn't make them all horrible people. Lots of people break the law and they should pay for that, but it doesn't automatically make someone horrible. We can't judge people on simply one aspect of what we know about them.

Like in all violable issues ,some support the illegal aliens and some don't. Its more a personal issue .
Just because I am white and of German decent,I would never sanction the uncontrolled influx of millions of German illegal aliens into this nation,
and trust me some Germans are very nationalistic also. I am an native born America first ,only and always. My fellow American people come before any other people from any nation.
I don't judge ANYONE by the actions of others .
Every legal citizen in this ,is an American. And has my respect. The illegal alien issue is not a race issue.

now no longer all unlawful immigrants are mad, only those that we pay attention approximately on the radio or see on television. they're mad for the reason that they do no longer choose to get deported and despatched back to adverse Mexico. That area is a daunting place to be, I even have visited there once or twice as my husband is Hispanic and from there (do no longer hassle he's criminal and has been provided that he grow to be as quickly as 2 years old and his finished relatives is right right here legally) and it fairly is a daunting place in case you haven't got money to pay human beings off like judges, police officials or only about somebody. If definitely definitely everyone seems to be out to get you, you're no longer waiting to call the police as they're quite frequently being paid to stay extremely by employing the guy or lady that desires to get you. Oh stable no longer somewhat our capture 22 undertaking whether, the two come right here legally or start up packing.

If your Fiance' is here legally why don't you both help our country make the illegials that are here become legal....if they are so good why are they here illegially....kind of a contradiction ....or maybe you can support them yourselves..
I CANNOT TELL U HOW MADDDD I AM!

You will not see this heart-stopping photo on the front page of the NY Times or on the lead story of the major news networks.

The protestors put up the Mexican flag over the American flag flying upside down at Montebello High School in California.

The image of the American flag subsumed to another and turned upside down on American soil is already spreading on Internet forums and via e-mail.

You cannot tell me that this is about nothing but we want our country back.... and you cannot tell me that they don't get pacified or babied..Where I live everyday you read in the want ads, Help wanted...MUST BE BILINGUAL!!!! excuse me make these people learn english!! and for god sake teach them about birth control.... American citizens of ALL races are opposed to illegal aliens of all races in our country.
It has nothing to do with race.
Illegal aliens from over 100 countries were deported last year.
The majority of illegal aliens here are Hispanic, so it stands to reason that the majority deported are Hispanic.

As a Latino who was born here, I tell you I don't support illegals in any way whatsoever, and I'm in favor of full enforcement of immigration laws and secure borders.
