Well, you have a couple choices. If you are looking for a step-side bed, you can make one from brand new stampings, but it will not be cheap. You could look for donor trucks, and buy the entire thing. You can try wrecking yards. Also, check out the truck-bed trailers that are sometimes for sale for cheap in the paper. I am in the same boat as you. I have a 78 F-150 step-side 4x4 whose bed is completely thrashed.

Check your local Craigslist and/or list your item needed there. You can also call and ask your local towing/wrecking yard if they have any if you don't want to manually search it yourself. Some military bases have great lemon lots that they keep pretty immaculate and are cheaper than most tow yards.
