I am male, 23. I love hygiene and I love to be nice and clean. I shave my pubic hairs, is it considered bad in Islam. One of my friend told me that according to our religion we should not do so but I really dont like the gusp of hair down there. Plz suggest what should I do...

It is not bad and is considered good in Islam, Our's is one religion which always talks about hygiene, Infact it is said that you have to shave your pubic hairs within every 40 days. And leave religion, hygiene is one basic thing that everybody should understand, if you dont feel clean how can you concentrate in prayers.

What!!!,who told you that?!! it is Haram not to shave them,you have to.


Boukhari:Volume 7, Book 72, Number 779:

Narrated Abu Huraira :

I heard the Prophet (pbuh) saying : "Five practices are characteristics of the Fitra(instinct): circumcision, shaving the pubic hair, cutting the moustaches short, clipping the nails, and depilating the hair of the armpits."

Lol wont shaving your pubes make it itchy? Just trim them so they down grow into a garden. I don’t think that would be a sin to do so in any religion. Im not sure but pick up a Qur’an English translation.

Who told you that it's bad in Islam? Islam requires for you to do is to remove your pubic hair. And it is part of the hygiene that the Prophet (PBUH) promoted as a Sunnah.

This is thought bad in Sikhism, not in Islam.
As Sikhs if not find a meter scale nearby they measure the lengths by their pubic hair.

this is a very well known saying in Islam. and shaving private parts is considered a MUST.

your friend is wrong.in Islam its obligatory to shave armpit and pubic hairs.

in Islam it is not allowed to shave on public hairs with blade. and the length of shave (hairs) should not exceed size of a wrist. you have to follow that. you will look more beautiful then

It's sunna to shave it every 40 days.
