Since we don't even use this freedom too much so it's not too cruel if we get rid of it. Most of the U.S and the world are Christians so we should get rid of freedom of religion..

Thank God, the first amendment to the American Constitution wouldn't allow something so horrible. At least in America it wouldn't be allowed.

Amendment I: Freedom of speech, religion, press, petition and assembly.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

It's a fact of life -- you must take the good with the bad. If you don't like religion you don't have to profess any.

And then do what? Force a faith on someone?

The main reason that many reject faith is the way that is hammered on them. Who can anyone believe a faith when those that claim it don't live what they claim?

That is the biggest failing of Christians today, They don't even understand what they claim to believe. Thye wear thingd that say what would Jesus do and they fail to read and follow the things that Jesus did. You would thing that we, who claim Christ would have the good sense to learn what jesus did and try our best to live it? But really do we? Think about it.

Try this on for size and see just how good you measure up.

Are you a good person? What a question, most of us believe that we are good people because we can look around and find someone that is far worse than we are. We can always point to the things that we think make us a good person.

But how good are we really? Dare we take this test and look at ourselves and see if we really are good? Hmmm.

If you are willing try this and see just how good a person you are.

The Good Person Test.

How will you do? Pass or fail?

Have you ever told a lie?
Doesn't matter how big or small, just a lie.
What does that make you? Before answering think about this, if I told you a lie what would you call me? A liar?

Have you ever stolen anything? Cost doesn't matter, a piece of gum, failed to give back an ink pen that you borrowed, anything.
What does that make you?

Jesus said, "You know the saying of old, you shall not commit adultery but I say that if look at someone to lust after them you have committed adultery in your heart.
Have you ever lusted?

Jesus said that hate is equal to murder.
Have you ever hated anyone?

See one day we all are going to stand before a Holy God on Judgment Day and he is going to judge us based on His Holy Law, the Ten Commandments. These are just 4 of them and how did you do? Guilty? I have broken all of these and more, what about you? How well will you do on Judgment Day?

If we break just one point of God's Law we are guilty of breaking all the law and Gods Wrath abides upon us all. Based on God's Law we are all guilty and all are deserving of punishment. But there is an out for us.

Jesus paid the price for each one of us, took on himself God's Wrath so we wouldn't have to face it on our own. Jesus was beaten, battered, bleed and died so we wouldn't have to face God's Wrath. He rose again so that we would life in his presence. Our crimes, His payment.

The real question is where will you stand on Judgment Day. Pay yourself or have it paid for you. Think about it.

No,we Atheists do no longer favor to abolish any freedoms and liberties from any particular non secular team. We in undemanding words favor to be able to artwork at the same time in open forums and make contact with into question distinct issues that the non secular carry to be real. that's there that an finished target market can listen atheist contentions adverse to non secular beliefs. we are hoping to convince the listeners that each easily one of our religions are terrible lies that our ancestors shamefully exceeded all the way down to us. in the time of that's historic previous faith has been manipulated to dedicate different maximum heinous crimes adverse to humanity and then concurrently justify that's self with the very similar e book that condemns it! united states used the Bible to justify slavery in united states and the slaughtering of tens of millions of chance free community human beings and then stealing their land and organising an illegitimate authorities. And all of that's justified by ability of the Bible. It replaced into inspired by ability of the Bible. And that's precisely why faith is risky to the international;because it provides adult men the delusion of absolute potential. at the same time as a authorities makes use of faith to justify that's movements then they are going to always be correct. And it would not be lengthy earlier any such authorities all started considering that's self as a "chosen united states" and destined to rule the earth. those are this manner of options that emerge once you blend faith with authorities. Forcing this end on human beings isn't the answer...we in undemanding words desire that more beneficial human beings may participate in forums and allow some gentle to be shed on the problem from both area so as that each you may come to a end in accordance to information on my own.

You don't know what you are asking. Are you ready to start paying taxes to a church you don't even belong to? Since there are areas in the country where religious people far outnumber those who aren't, that is just what would happen.. I think we better hold on to ever freedom we have... Jim

you forget that the US doesnt consist of just you and your family. 80% of the USA still follows one religion or another. This country was established because people weren't free to worship as they chose. Presidents are elected or not due to their religious values. I suggest you learn to research before you post grand sweeping generalizations based on nothing but your own speculations.
