To answer this question you need to find a religion that follows what the Bible commands? See 1John 4:1-4, and
John 18:36, Acts 5:29, John 15:19,
There are many scriptural thoughts that tell people not to take part in the things of the world we live in, such as politics, any form of political office, anything that causes us to break our faith with Jesus and his father. see John 17:6-14 also you cannot serve two masters? Mathew 6:24 To get rich in this world you really have to get involved in worldly things which takes you away from serving God.
To find your answer check with the highest court in the land and see what religion has won more decisions regarding their beliefs than any other on earth. Also think about what it takes to just get into the highest court, whats involved?

Funnily enough in the UK, it seems to be Christianity.

You aren't allowed to display large crosses and crucifixes (or the country flag for that matter), for fear of offending people of other faiths. No real measures are taken against the other religions.

Even though atheism isn't a religion, it is probably the belief most unliked - especially in a strong religious country like America. I believe in an opinion poll (it's from Dawkin's book), people were less likely to vote for an atheist presient, than a Jew, Black person, homosexual or hispanic person - with the southern states being like they are, that's quite a statement!

All the religions are not a threat to governments! True believers are not despised only by the government but by the entire world.

As the Lord said "In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer I have overcome the world." and in another place "If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But now the world hates because you are not of the world." These things the Lord was not saying them to any religion, but to believers. He was not even saying them to a religion called Christianity but to believers!

Can I have the ten points!

There is one religion today that threatens the Western world: Islam.

Governments who are able to discern the threat should indeed be taking measures to protect themselves.
