Thumbnails from video?

Question

I shot a bunch of footage and was wondering if there is a program out there that would take my video and save off a thumbnail image every few seconds (giving me a series of images). Free would be nice. Anyone know one?

I capture with ulead and and it leaves a thumbnail every time you stop and start the camera. It works great for me.
