When doing any wiring you should consider many things in addition to basic wiring. First thing will be safety, then local code, and finally the job itself. Most all the communities will ask you for a permit to do the job when adding a new location. If you are adding it to a gazebo that is not connected to a power source then you will need to dig a trench and connect rigid conduit to the source in order to get the power to the area. This is a job best left to a professional. If it is in a porch that is connect to the house then look for a power source that is close by and see if you can get power to the area you want. All outside power supply will need to be in rigid conduit unless it is in the walls which means you will need to tear down walls to get flexible conduit in it. Don't forget to add a switch so that you can control the fan and make sure you install a box that will support the weight of a heavy spinning motor. If you go inside the ceiling wall make sure you buy a good "fan box with heavy duty support". I recommend this job to an electrician because it can be a challenge even for them. It all depends on how close your power supply is and if you want it exposed or in the walls. Good luck.

You will need the electrical wiring and a junction box that is mounted to support the weight of the fan. You will also need a switch installed so you can turn it on and off if it will be too high to reach by hand unless you get a fan with a remote control unit.

The proper wiring will have to be installed at the outdoor location. You will probably need to get an electrician to do this.
