Are any of these becoming acceptable even praised in today's society.

At my age some of those have become a little harder to support. Unfortunately, it's still much too easy to hold on to a knife and fork when I should be putting them down. I've also noticed that sloth no longer sounds like such a dirty word. Twenty years ago the idea of going to bed before midnight would have "angered" me.
But in general, you may have a point. After all, in the same order you wrote them, there are corresponding modern icons for each one:
Soft-porn advertising, "extreme" sports, "I HAVE a mansion and a BMW!", "I NEED a mansion and a BMW!", 2-pounder MacCrap sandwiches (junior size), "You can never be rich enough!", "Hey ... that ain't MY job!"

Greed and anger are at the forefront

Then comes lust.

Then gluttony and sloth and envy.

Todays world emphasizes greed in other forms.

I will admit to lust, occasionally wrath, sloth and a lot of pride. Gluttony, greed & envy have no part in my life.

Many are becoming acceptable, especially in America

Lust is the basis of all the others.
James 1:13 Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am being tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death.

The Church of Satanism acknowledges them as natural human behavior. According to them they were established in order to keep people coming back to the Christian church. If humans can't help but be lustful, angry, etc, then they're gonna keep doing them, and think they need forgiveness for their "sins."

We are prone to them all, sadly! They are all praised in society today in one way or another, good question!

Anger, and I keep praying for God's strength to let go and have him clean me out emotionally. Have come a long way in the past few years, so I know he is listening and trying to help. Doesn't go away overnight.
